Small Beginnings

I’ve always wanted to make a difference in the world. Every day there are thousands of people dying from hunger, and I felt God calling me to do something about it. Over time He humbled me and reminded me that I am only human and I cannot fix things for everyone. But I can make a difference for one. I started sponsoring sweet Phiona in 2016. She was 8 years old then, and it’s been such a joy to watch her grow over the years through the letters and pictures I received.

Our Name

In 2020 my mom and I started experimenting with some leather scraps, and the thought struck us that we could turn it into a business. We decided all of our profits would go to supporting Phiona. It started small, with some friends coming to our house to make purchases. Then we started becoming more involved in local markets (follow us on Instagram to see where you can find us!).

Our Travels

I had dreamed for years of meeting Phiona, and finally in 2022 my mom and I got to travel to Uganda with a few close friends. It was a lifechanging experience. We got to travel around the country to the schools of Living Hope for Children. The purpose of the trip was to spend time with the kids and to equip the staff to care for them well. I fell in love with the people of Uganda, their culture and their country.

Rooted

After our first trip to Uganda, I felt called to go back. So I graduated high school a semester early and joined the Rooted program through Living Hope for Children. I got to live with a group of Ugandan high school graduates that had gone to the schools of the ministry. The program was all about discipleship and community.

The Vision

We have big dreams for our small business, because we’ve witnessed what God is capable of. We trust that He will grow what He sees fit to grow, change what needs to change, and ultimately He will have His glory. Stay tuned to hear more of what God is doing both in our lives here and those in Uganda.
